Our 70th year is off to a fabulous start!!

It’s amazing to say that this it the 70th year of our little club that started at a kitchen table when somebody’s wife said something about ‘go out play with your Furrin cars’.  And Furrin Group was born. 

Our spring dust-off, Cars, Cones, and Coffee (because two C’s aren’t enough) brought out 40-50 cars at Lamar Park this year.  Weather was a little cold, but we met some new people and hopefully see them again at an event!

We just finished our first autocross event of the year, the Traverse City Autocross.  It it’s fourth year (and we are already on the schedule for 2025) and entries have never been higher!  Every year this event gets bigger and bigger!  The next event is July 6&7 at Grand Valley State University in Allendale.  Registration will be open at MotorsportReg.com soon.   We have also confirmed a new venue in the Ludington area at West Shore Community College.  Stay tuned for updates on that event.  (These events are not affiliated with GVSU or WSCC).  We will continue to work with WMR SCCA on their Grattan autocross events.

We are also working on having a couple of rallies and scenic drives this year.  One will be in conjunction with our 70th anniversary party.  Held on October 5th at Porto Bello in Grand Haven.  Information and pricing are currently being discussed.  We will also have our yearly summer picnic at Johnson Park for the July membership meeting.  We are planning on catering food from City BBQ in Kentwood.   

We now have swag for sale!  Shirts, hats, hoodies, stickers, jackets, oh my!  Available for purchase at most of our events.  Some supplies are limited!
